Tonya brings heart centered holistic care to Basics and Beyond Wellness. Offering over 30 years of healing experience, with 15 of them as a Reiki Practitioner, Teacher & Birth Doula. Tonya is a past career nurse, (former RN/RPN), having specialized in Emergency Mental Health, Crisis response and Education for First Responders. Her past body of work also extends into the area of Taekwondo instruction, Meditation. and Traditional Hawaiian Massage. Tonya has been a member of the Canadian Reiki Association since 2009 and is an affiliate member of the International Center for Reiki Training.

Through her career, Tonya has been a guest speaker and healer at a number of events, radio podcasts, and conferences including staff wellness seminars for Vernon City & for BC Hydro, Langley Mental Health, and the CASP (Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention) Conference held in Vancouver. In 2008 she was honoured to be nominated for the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards for her tireless efforts in the area of Healthy Sport & Living.
